I'm back with my hongkong trip post as I promised! :)
Went to Hongkong on 2 March by myself and was going to meet my mom there, as she is having a business trip as usual. This wasn't an actual planned holiday. It's because I asked for a macbook air and my mom told me she can buy me the macbook from Hongkong, but it turns out she is afraid that she will buy the wrong one and told me to fly there and take a couple days off from campus.
Well, I didn't reject the "unplanned" holiday of course! Had the earliest flight and headed off to the airport. Was so bored flying by myself that I took many useless photos lol.
Had a quick breakfast at starbucks.
My mom's friend picked me up at the airport and we straight away searched for a micro sim for my iphone so that I could use internet even while I'm there. Hahahaha. I know I know it's too much, but an hour without tweeting or talking to my friends feel like hell.
We then went back to her apartment to have some rest and went to the airport again to pick up my mom from China. We had dinner at a restaurant nearby which we randomly chose but amazingly have delicious food. I don't know why but every food around hongkong, whether its hawker food or food at malls are all delicious! Maybe it's because of the strict quality control.
We called it a day and went straight to bed.
The next day I of course bought my macbook air and was so happy! hahaha. Even snapped a picture of it to upload it on instagram.
After that we had the must-have-if-you-are-in-hongkong-food dimsum for brunch of course.
delicious? haha.
Went shopping spree after that. My mom loves shopping so much and she bought like 15 pieces of clothes just from one shop! We had to go home after that just to drop the things we shopped.
those shopping bags are HEAVY. I'm telling you. hahaha.
cam whored for a while at the apartment haha!
we had korean bbq for dinner which was quite okay and very expensive. we wanted fresh lettuce and had to pay for it. -_-
THE NEXT MORNINGGGG! :))
decided to go to guangzhou to shop some things with mom. used the train and reached there by 2 hours! :))
me at the train having my snacks and cam whoring as usual XP
the snacks in hongkong are all so damn cheap so I bought lots of em *fatty*
reached guangzhou and can't help but snap a picture of this lady and laughed with my mom. LOL. the most entertaining thing from the whole trip. my mom even pretended to take a photo of me just to take her picture. notice her bright orange heels? gosh. hahahahahaahaha. the picture can't actually describe how funny it is.
I immediately felt a huge difference once I reached china. It's just 2 hours away from Hongkong and you can feel the difference already. I think Hongkong feels more "international" than China. At hongkong you can a see a lot of fashionable teenagers and even their roads and mrt feels different, more "modern" I can say. But of course there are good and bad stuff of every place. for example in China everything is super cheap and of course I can understand the chinese words, lol. Hongkong uses traditional chines words which are so hard and complicated to read.
had lunch with mom's business friends at a guangzhou restaurant.
shopped a lot and didn't take any pictures! hahaha.
The next day is time to go home. We decided to have lunch at a japanese restaurant and were so satisfied with all the freshness of the food! yums!
first time ever seeing this thing! LOL. played with it lots of times. everytime someone wants to drink I help the fill it!
soft shell crab!!! HEAVEEENN!
ME and the.... MENU? hahaha.
